ABOUT:
Here at Ranui Swanson FC we align with NZ Football's award-winning 'Whole of Football' programme. This is a grassroots programme designed to develop young players and help them to learn the skills they need to enjoy the game. More information can be found on the New Zealand Football website.
GRADES & TEAMS:
The "Whole of the Football" programme comprises of grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. After 8th grade, players move on to Junior Football.
TEAMS & COACHES:
Teams are made up of about 6-8 players. Teams are usually made up of players based on their age, teams are pretty flexible to start to ensure that everyone is happy and keen to play ball every Friday!
Can you help coach? Here at RSFC we value our coaches & the time they put into our teams. You don't need to have any experience to begin as we offer FREE coaching courses, help with training plans, resources AND no fees for your player if you coach! SEASON DATES:
The 2025 season begins in March & finishes in August. Date for the first games of the season are still to be confirmed but will be early April. Generally, there is no football during the middle weekends of the school holidays, however we do play on the first and final weekends. Playing on Public Holidays (ANZAC Day, Matariki, Kings Birthday) will be at the discretion of the club, we usually take this opportunity to continue games for players who have not gone away. Fun games followed by fun activities like discos to keep the kids entertained.
Trainings: Tuesdays 5pm - 6pm
Game Day & Time: Friday Nights 5:30pm -6:30pm
Game Times: Kick-off is at 5:30pm
Game Location: Te Poi Starling Park
FEES & UNIFORM:
The cost to register for both First Kicks and Fun Football is $100.00. This is for the full season & RSFC playing shirt.
Club Uniform: Each player also needs to have black shorts and socks, as well as boots (NO metal sprigs as they play on turf) and shinpads. You can buy items online from the RSFC Online Store, all purchases made through our official supplier ADIDAS mean funds come back to the club to be able to purchase items like balls, cones, goals etc.
