JUNIOR FOOTBALL:
Junior grade football comprises grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. After 12th grade, players move on to Youth Football.
TEAM TYPES:
There are two types of teams at Junior grade:
SEASON DATES:
The 2025 season begins in March & finishes in August. Date for the first games of the season are still to be confirmed but will be early April. Generally, there is no football during the middle weekends of the school holidays, however we do play on the first and final weekends
GAME TIMES:
Junior Grade teams play on Saturday mornings and participate in inter-club fixtures, in both home and away matches. Generally games are between 9am and 12 noon, though this may vary week-to-week depending on location and field availability.
GAME LOCATIONS:
Generally games are played one week at home at Te Poi Starling park and the next week away at another local club. These clubs are usually West Auckland Football Club in Kelston, Oratia Football Club in Glen Eden, West Coast Rangers in Huapai, Te Atatu Football Club in Te Atatu & Waitemata Football Club in McLeod Rd Te Atatu.
FEES & CLUB UNIFORM:
The cost to register for Junior Football is $200. This includes a RSFC playing shirt.
Club Uniform: Each player also needs to have black shorts and socks, as well as boots (NO metal sprigs as they play on turf) and shinpads. You can buy items online from the RSFC Online Store, all purchases made through our official supplier ADIDAS mean funds come back to the club to be able to purchase items like balls, cones, goals etc.

- Mixed Junior Teams - For players who wish to play in teams made up of boys or a mix of boys & girls. Teams are put together based on players age as at 1st January 2025. We keep players in the same team as the previous season & new players to RSFC may form new teams or be slotted into existing teams that need additional players. We try and accommodate requests to play with friends, but this may not always be possible. These teams will play grading games at the start of the season and placed in an appropriate level of competition by Northern Region Football.
