Life membership of the club can be granted to any person who has given the club outstanding service.
Currently we have several Life Members who have supported the club through their hard work and dedication, and for this we recognise and praise their efforts.
Life Members as of 2018
Heather Williams
Heather is one of the founding members of the club and was also the first Club President. She continues to support the club and is often the Chairman at our annual AGM.
Wayne Gallagher
Wayne has been apart of the club since forever. He has been actively involved through coaching and managing teams as well as being a committee member. Wayne can be spotted regularly on the sideline of his grandsons games.
Len Batey
Len who has sadly passed away, was an an active supporter, coach and manager throughout the years with the club. Len was an active committee member for many years and he was the man behind organizing prize-giving for numerous years.
Phil Snookes
Phil has been with the club for a long, long time. He has been an active supporter and has also donated the Snookes Cup which is handed out at the annual Prize Giving event. Unfortunately Phil passed away in 2018. We will miss seeing him around the club.
Sandy Mills
Sandy has been with the club since 1995/1996. She has managed teams, been club treasurer and a committee member. Sandy came back to supported the club as a committee member and Treasurer back in 2013. Sandy stepped down as Treasurer in 2015.
Colin Galbraith
Colin has been involved with the club for many, many years now of which the Galbraith Award is named in his honour and is awarded at the annual Prize Giving event.
Greg Smith
Greg was presented Life membership at the 2012 AGM. Greg was the Club President when the club went up in flames and was an instrumental part of the rebuilding process and the facilities we boast of now. Greg was also a popular coach. Unfortunately Greg passed away in 2015, he will be sadly missed by the club and his family.
Saul Harris
Saul was awarded Life Membership at the 2015 AGM. Saul is an active member of Ranui Swanson Football Club by being a qualified coach and taking many teams of his 8+ year involvement with the club.
Toni Talijancich
Toni was awarded Life Membership at the 2017 AGM. Toni was an active member of the club, having been involved in multiple roles from coach, referee, manager, treasurer, secretary and President.
Steve McKay
Steve was presented with Life membership at the 2018 AGM. Steve was an active member of the committee for more than 10 years, he was our club captain and coach of the 15th grade girls team.
Tracy Smith
Tracy was presented with Life membership at the 2021 AGM. Tracy has been involved at Ranui in numerous roles over the years from player, delegate, coach, secretary, tuck shop lady, bar manager and club president. Tracy now takes a well deserved break to focus on her new career.
Valasi Eves
Valasi was awarded life membership at the 2021 AGM. Valasi is the current treasurer and the life force behind the women's team, always on hand to assist with club functions and refereeing.
